Chief Executive Officer
As a seasoned entrepreneur and executive, Ken has successfully started, built, operated and grown a variety of world-class organizations. For the past 15 years, he has helped transform Health Monitor Network into becoming the leading patient-engagement company in the U.S. The company has grown ten-fold since he joined the organization and the employee base has quadrupled over the past 4 years. The company has continued to be the leader in print patient education in physician offices around the U.S. and has now become a digital leader in exam rooms. In May 2019 Ken led the organization through a transaction that brought a significant investment to the company, led by WestView Capital Partners to support and propel it’s dynamic growth. Prior to joining Health Monitor Network, he was CEO of TransLocal Health Corporation, a leading multimedia health information provider to the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries. Previously, he was president of InteliHealth, initially a joint venture between Aetna U.S. Healthcare and Johns Hopkins, a leading consumer and professional health information, technology and commerce provider. Ken was also an executive with Thomson/Medical Economics and the founder and publisher of The Collegian Magazine.
He attended Skidmore College and completed an Executive MBA certificate program at Columbia University Graduate School of Business, through the Thomson Information Publishing Management Development program.
Ken plays drums in a rock and roll band called MedROCK, is an active international philanthropist and founded a business plan competition (skidmore.edu/freirichcompetition/) at Skidmore College eight years ago that continues to inspire him and hundreds of students from a wide variety of majors and countries around the world.
David is a renowned healthcare leader and award-winning brand marketing executive with strong experience delivering significant commercial and revenue success and building sustainable leadership teams.
Prior to joining Health Monitor Network, Paragamian was President of Razorfish Health, the leading digital Advertising Agency of Publicis Groupe for which he served as President for five years and led the agency to exponential growth. Prior to Razorfish, Paragamian was Group President of The Apothecom Group, a leading agency of Huntsworth Health, an international leader in marketing and medical communications to the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries, respectively. Additionally, he was Group President for Havas Health, leading the flagship New York Office, in addition to Chicago, Montreal, Toronto and Latin America.
Paragamian has also held leadership roles at Inventiv Health & Information Resources and began his career on the client side in a variety of pharmaceutical sales and marketing roles for Roche Diagnostics, Sanofi, Johnson & Johnson, Procter & Gamble, and Glaxo SmithKline.
He has been a board member of the Medical Advertising Hall of Fame for the past three years and continues to be on the faculty of St. Joseph’s University, Haub School of Business where he is an adjunct professor of brand management. He has also authored numerous publications on branding, advertising, and marketing and been a keynote speaker at several conferences including Med Ad News, Consumer Health Products Association, and the Philadelphia Ad Club.
Paragamian holds a BA in Economics from Hamilton College as well as an MA in Communications from La Salle University in Philadelphia.
Chief Financial Officer
Howard has over 20 years of experience in launching and developing diverse businesses within the media and advertising industry, with proven success in executing business strategies and maximizing financial performance.
Before joining Health Monitor Network, he served as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, North America at the Reader’s Digest Association. During his 16 years at Reader’s Digest, Howard established the direct selling startup, Taste of Home Entertaining, Inc. and collaborated on the launch of Every Day with Rachael Ray, an Ad Age “Magazine Launch of the Year.” In addition, he negotiated the acquisition and sale of various business units while serving as CFO of several of the company’s divisions.
Throughout his career, Howard has built a reputation for achieving bottom line results, effectively aligning business and technology needs, and leading and developing high-performance teams.
His experience also includes work at Deloitte and Touche LLP, New Woman magazine and The New York Times. He is a certified public accountant, and holds a BS and MBA from New York University.
Howard has a passion for type 1 diabetes research and charitable activities. He currently serves as a board member of Insulin for Life USA and is a participant in the Epidemiology of Diabetes Interventions and Complications (EDIC) study.
Executive Vice President
Alex is a seasoned executive, most recently serving as the Director of Consumer Marketing for MetLife, the largest insurance company in the U.S. Previously, he served as vice president of global marketing and strategy at TransLocal Health Corporation, a supplier of health information. He also held executive positions at Walker Digital, founding company of Priceline.com, and Warner Lambert, where he helped drive product strategy and lead generation programs and e-branding for all consumer healthcare brands.
Alex holds an engineering degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA in Finance, Marketing and Strategic Management from Kellogg Graduate School of Management.
Chief People Officer
Joe has compiled a track record of over 20 years building and optimizing high performance teams and organizations. Before joining Health Monitor Network, Joe served as the Chief Talent & Engagement Officer of Westmed Practice Partners, the management services organization for Westmed Medical Group, P.C., the leading outpatient healthcare organization in Westchester County, NY. Joe helped scale Westmed during a period of hyper-growth, which included overseeing the organization’s tripling in size and an HR department that grew from 2 employees to over 15. Joe’s leadership led to Westmed receiving national recognition as one of Fortune Magazine’s Top 30 Workplaces in Healthcare in the U.S. for back-to-back years (#27 in 2017 and #21 in 2018).
Earlier in his career, Joe spent 5 years as VP of Corporate Human Resources at Porter Novelli, one of the largest marketing communication agencies in the world, with a strong footprint in healthcare, print, and digital marketing. Having a non-traditional start to his career, Joe spent his first 7 years as a client-service benefits consultant with national leaders, PricewaterhouseCoopers and Hewitt Associates, respectively.
Joe attended Alfred University in upstate NY, earning both his BA and MBA in 1997 and 1998, respectively, where he was selected to Omicron Delta Kappa, the National Leadership Honor Society. He holds both a Senior Professional in Human Resources by the Human Resources Certification Institute and is a Senior Certified Professional by the Society for Human Resources Management.
Joe is an active business leader and community volunteer in Westchester County as well as a frequent lecturer/speaker providing thought leadership on critical topics impacting Human Resources.
Chief Technology Officer
Will is Chief Technology Officer providing strategic leadership for the continued implementation of innovative, forward thinking, and secure information technology initiatives to meet the ever-evolving Point of Care space.
Prior to joining Health Monitor Network, Will spent 25+ years in various information technology roles. Most recently, Will served as Chief Information Officer with Regalis Health Services, a leading managed services organization, supporting health system clients throughout the United States. In this role, Will crafted the IT strategy and its seamless execution and implementation to end users with a preference toward technological solutions that are easy to use while providing true value for external and internal stakeholders.
Prior to Regalis, Will served as Director of Information Systems at Westmed Practice Partners, the managed services arm of Westmed Medical Group, one of the largest physician practices in the NY/NJ/CT tri-state area. There, Will successfully led the implementation of a process driven application infrastructure that maximized efficiencies throughout the organization.
Will has also held IT/IS management positions for such well-known brands as Citation Air by Cessna, Cadbury Schweppes, and People’s United Bank.
Will holds a BS in Information Systems from the University of Connecticut and an MS in Computer Sciences from Sacred Heart University.
